Job Description

 

  1. Work closely with management team and nutritionist to maximize cattle performance, feed efficiencies and profitability

  2. Communicate yard issues to appropriate personnel - (cattle inventory / cattle condition / road maintenance / safety items)

  3. Ability to use the applicable software to ensure proper rations are loaded and fed to proper pens

  4. Monitor feed intakes / bunk condition / cattle behavior to the feed presentation

  5. Understanding of the variables in weather / gender / breed / etc... in feeding cattle

  6. Ensuring the newly received and re-implanted cattle are monitored closely and fed in timely fashion

  7. Accurately load trucks with correct ration

  8. Adequate verbal / written / matthematical skills

  9. Promptly notify appropriate personnel of any / all maintenance issues / breakdowns / concerms

  10. Follow equipment service and maintenace checklists

Job Description

  1. Oversight of daily operations

  3. The primary contact with the consulting veterinarian and nutritionist and is responsible for implementing their recommendations

  4. Provide the employees with clear direction on the priorities of the day and provide leadership and support to accomplish those priorities

  5. Prepare, moniotor and approve the budgetand participate in the company's budget meetings

  6. Supervise all incoming and outgoing cattle
